Life has taken a full 360. Only this time, it's sweeter…… and hurts deeper.

On my 24th birthday last year, Life Started Anew. I moved into my first apartment with my brother in the San Francisco Bay area. I was happy, yet not fulfilled… Three months later I rekindled my commitment to my eight years on-and-off-again girlfriend, and she moved in with us. We were happy, but unprepared…… On New Year's Day, after it all fell apart, I gave up, packed my bags and left the Bay Area to stay at my parents house in Los Angeles for two weeks. By the third week I had moved into my new apartment in Downtown Long Beach. To start over.

The music inside me flared up again. All the emotions came flooding out and I captured them on record. Expressing myself through song is the only way I can therapeutically release the negative emotions within me. I was able to partially let go of the heartbreak and the guilt of leaving.

Since then I've experienced betrayal and disrespect like I've only known in dramatic tragedies. Today my ex and I don't speak, per her wishes. Today my brother and I don't speak, per my wishes. Today I am more fulfilled than I've ever been. Today I am sad. Today I am confused. Today I am hurt……… yet not the victim. I believe I deserve all that comes my way. I can handle anything. I shall grow and prosper. To be fulfilled is my goal. I WILL fulfill my potential.

I write this publicly because I am an artist. My life is my masterpiece. And what is Art if not lived out on the public stage? We virtually live on social media as a dressed-up avatar representing our very real life. This Is My Authentic Real Life. Written at 3AM in a drunken rage, it was all I could do to stay from going crazy…………
